Joni Giacomino, Dean of Students and Bisbee High School teacher was awarded a Love of Learning grant for her project titled, "Indigenous Plant Collection. Joni said that her students will identify plants using key and taxonomic literature and will learn proper pressing and mounting of dry plant specimens for display.
Cherie Ann Bolanos, first grade teacher at Naco Elementary School was awarded a Love of Learning Grant for her activities pertaining to math. Cherie requested math exploration kits and interactive tools for her students. Cherie and her students were very excited and happy to receive the funds for their classroom.
